About bdnix

The name

bd+nix

bd is for Bangladesh, where bdnix’s creator is from. nix is for their love of Linux, Unix and the rest of the *nix family.

Games to pass the time

Simple games for the moments in between: on a bus or train, in a queue, or waiting for someone. Open one in your browser and play straight away, with nothing to install. Close the tab whenever you like, and your game is waiting, paused, when you come back.

Tools that don’t take your files

The tools are things bdnix’s creator wished they had. Say you want to put a watermark on a PDF. Without a paid PDF app, the usual choice is a website that uploads your file to its server, works on it there and sends it back.

bdnix works differently. Everything happens in your browser, on your own device: your files are never uploaded, and nothing you open or type in a tool is sent anywhere.

Free, with no accounts

• No subscriptions, no sign-ups and no accounts. There never will be.
• No uploads. Your files stay on your device.
• Open source. Anyone can read the code on GitHub.

The only thing bdnix counts is page views, with Google Analytics, and only if you say yes. You can change your mind on your profile.
